Kenny Chesney 2011 tour ready to go 'Coastal' with the Zac Brown Band :
After a year-long break from the road, Kenny Chesney is ready to reclaim his crown as the king of summer country tours in 2011 — but not without a little help.
The musician has tapped the Zac Brown Band as co-headliner for next year's Goin' Coastal Tour. The pair has only confirmed 10 Kenny Chesney tour dates for their shared tour schedule, beginning with a March 19 show at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, FL, and concluding the tour dates with a concert on August 27at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, MA.
In between the spring start-date and late summer closing show, Kenny Chesney and the Zac Brown Band also have concerts line up for June 4 at FedEx Field in Washington, DC; July 2 at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, PA; and August 20 at Ford Field in Detroit, MI.
Public ticket sales start November 20 in select tour markets, with additional onsale dates scheduled through mid-December. Onsale prices vary depending on the market, but most ticket prices start around $25 and max out around the $250 mark, according to Ticketmaster.com listings. Details about onsales and fan club presales are available on the Kenny Chesney official Web site.
The two bands will take a break from their stadium tour schedule to headline the second day of the 2011 Bayou Country Superfest on May 29 in Baton Rouge, LA. Festival onsales started yesterday, November 10, with ticket prices ranging from $50 for endzone seats up to $250 for standing room only VIP floor passes.
After he announced a touring hiatus for 2010, Kenny Chesney dedicated his time to recording Hemingway's Whiskey, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 upon its release in September. The album also earned Kenny Chesney a seventh consecutive No. 1 on the country charts — a streak that began with 2002's No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems.
Aside from his co-headlining shows with the Zac Brown Band in 2011, Kenny Chesney also has a few tour dates to himself in 2011. The chart-topping country musician will perform concerts on an April 8-9 tour schedule at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT, followed by an April 30 headline show at the 2011 Stagecoach Festival in Indio, CA. No more games now, it’s time for a full fledged Kenny Chesney tour so clear your schedule.
The Zac Brown Band won't appear at the Kenny Chesney two night concert stand at Mohegan Sun. Instead, Kenny Chesney will receive support from the Goin' Coastal Tour's two opening acts; Billy Currington and Uncle Kracker.
